Backup and disaster recovery (DR) is difficult to manage, leaving many IT organizations to question whether their DR plan will work when disaster strikes. ShadowProtect® ImageManager Enterprise™ provides new and innovative tools to deliver rapid disaster recovery, off-site replication, confirmation of backup integrity and simplified management of your backup image files.

ShadowProtect® ImageManager Enterprise™ includes HeadStart Restore™ (HSR), allowing you to automate recovery and minimize downtime. With HSR, IT administrators create a system restore job that begins the recovery process right away - before it's needed. The restore job is updated with incremental changes each time a backup job runs. In the event of a disaster, the restore is finalized, the server rebooted, and the recovery is completed in a few short minutes, rather than hours or even days. The recovery window is eliminated because recovery has already started - and is ongoing as server backups continue.

ShadowProtect® ImageManager Enterprise™ allows you to automatically consolidate point-in-time backup image files on a daily, weekly and monthly basis for simplified management. This also allows you to reduce the amount of disk space required for backups. Automatic backup image verification and re-verification included in ShadowControl ImageManager ensures every backup is in a good state, should it be needed for system recovery.

For an additional level of protection, automatically send your backup images to an off-site location with the replication feature of ShadowProtect ImageManager Enterprise. Once replication is configured, backup images may be sent to one or multiple locations automatically. In the event of a catastrophic failure, you're able to get your systems online quickly. This features also allows you to save backups to an off-site location for compliancy and archival requirements.
