At StorageCraft, we try to be valuable members of the technology community so we like to participate in events from various community groups, which allow us to learn a lot and educate other community members. There are a handful of community events StorageCraft is taking part in this year. Let’s take a look.

HTG Peer Group

Heartland Tech Group is focused on networking like-minded IT company leaders. Each of the 25 peer groups meets in a non-competitive atmosphere in order to discuss issues and solve problems together.

StorageCraft sponsored a few HTG events last year and we’re excited to sponsor them again in 2013. We feel that by supporting the thought leadership of MSP and reseller partners, we can empower them to grow as businesses and as a community. We’ve seen that HTG members are very successful in their businesses and we believe that’s because of the culture that HTG cultivates and the accountability that they’ve given the members. StorageCraft hopes to plug into that and make sure that we’re able to help HTG members reach business and marketing goals in all of their quarterly meetings.

(Members of HTG are highlighted in our most recent white paper, “Five Lessons about Disaster Recovery from Hurricane Sandy,”)

ASCII Group

ASCII is an IT reseller community that helps IT solution providers by providing support for key functions like operations, sales and marketing, and vendor management so they can focus their efforts on getting more business and generating more revenue. StorageCraft was happy to sponsor a few events with ASCII last year, but this time we’re excited to kick it up to eight events across the US.

CompTIA

CompTIA stands for the “computing technology industry association.” They’re a non-profit trade association with programs focusing on education, certification, advocacy, and philanthropy. CompTIA works towards advancing the global interests of IT professionals and companies, and StorageCraft was happy to be there to help again this year. StorageCraft is a vendor member of CompTIA and we’re excited to take part in CompTIA events and learn how we can leverage things like education and certification to further assist our channel partners as they develop their businesses. CompTIA was also kind enough to name us with best in show and best software. We hope to get even more play with CompTIA this year.

SMB Nation Group

SMB Nation works towards spreading knowledge and trends in the SMB community through conferences, books, magazines, and online services, and by providing world-wide seminars and workshops and has a tribe of followers exceeding 45,000.

StorageCraft is excited to sponsor two SMB Nation events this year. A lot of SMB Nation members have been with STC since the beginning, and we’ve been fortunate to cultivate our relationships further and hope to continue to do so in the future.

Also, in case you missed it, look for HTG in a great article about peer groups in the the March 2013 issue of Costco Connection: http://www.costcoconnection.com/connection/201303#pg27
