StorageCraft is offering this special pricing discount to current users of Symantec Backup Exec, Live State Recovery and V2i Protector who wish to purchase StorageCraft ShadowProtect Server™ or ShadowProtect Small Business Server™.

I am a current user of Shadowprotect desktop v3.3 I have one installation on a home PC.
Can you tell me if there is an upgrade pricing to v4 that is different than the pricing for a new purchaser?

Hi John,
After the license has expired and maintenance has lapsed, there is a renewal path. That renewal is an “upgrade” as opposed to a “maintenance renewal”. Cost is $44.98 per licenses for quantities less than 10 licenses.

I have a customer with a number of ShadowProtect server licenses, their maintenance lapsed and now thay have purchase an upgrade of new backup solution from Zenith Info tech, how do they get upgraded to the latest versions of ShadowProtect?
Hi Michael,
We don’t offer upgrade pricing on OEM versions of the products (such as Zenith Infotech) because the OEM is actually responsible for ensuring the compatibility of ShadowProtect with their overall solution. Zenith has active maintenance on their licenses, so they actually make the determination about which version of the product to use. If they move to an upgraded version, they will be able to offer it to their customers who are current on their maintenance agreement.

great question! I think that if you’re switching from ARCserve you can probably qualify for competitive upgrade pricing. Based on the link to your site, it looks like you’re based in South Africa so the thing to do would be to contact our Australian sales team.
