All Partitions But OS Backup Successfully?

Upgraded from 3.2 to 3.5 SBS Edition.
The data and swap partitions backup full with no problems. The data partition is over 200GB in size.
The following is the output from SP's log:

Re: All Partitions But OS Backup Successfully?

Hi Philip

You had a read error at offset 0x4de261000 when accessing datat from the source drive.
sbvol 503 Fatal I/O error on \\?\STC_SnapShot_Volume_21_0 offset 4de261000 on read (-31

Can you run a chkdsk against the source volume. Check the Event log for any disk (or RAID) related errors.

If you ever see the "-31" error on a write, you'd have to check the destination drive and any connection to it (e.g. network, intermediary server with USB HDD attached etc.)

Re: All Partitions But OS Backup Successfully?

Yes, it turns out that there was a consistency check run after the array had been rebuilt.

When we did a BIOS/firmware update on the server one of the members decided to drop out of the RAID 1 array.

Once the rebuild was complete, a consistency check ran automatically and had a fatal error. I am working with Intel on a resolution to the problem.

For now, we are not in a very good place with this server. :(

Thanks,

Philip
