How To: Perform a Hardware Independent Restore ( HIR )

Summary:

The purpose of this document is to give a step by step guide on how to perform a hardware independent restore from one system to another.  This same process can be used to create a virtual machine from the ShadowProtect image.  Create the virtual machine first then boot the virtual machine from the ShadowProtect recovery CD. This is a faster process then doing the VMware conversion.
