StorageCraft End of Life and End of Support Policy

Everything we do at StorageCraft Technology Corporation is designed to make fast, reliable, and complete backup and disaster recovery a reality. We are committed to maintaining our products’ legendary reliability, and so we continually develop and improve our product line. As our products and technologies evolve, we find that older software versions and products don't deliver the significant advantages of our current products.

End of Life (EOL) marks the day that we discontinue sales and distribution of a particular StorageCraft® software product, version, or versions. Eventually, we stop providing support (called End of Support or EOS) for these products, as well.

End of Life and End of Support Announcements

End of Life for StorageCraft ShadowProtect Granular Recovery for Exchange 7.0, 6.x, and all prior versions

As of December 31, 2015, StorageCraft Technology Corporation has discontinued sales and distribution of StorageCraft ShadowProtect® Granular Recovery for Exchange 7.0, 6.x, and all prior versions. All StorageCraft partners who previously distributed ShadowProtect Granular Recovery for Exchange 7.0, 6.x, or prior versions will now distribute ShadowProtect Granular Recovery for Exchange 8.0 for all future sales. StorageCraft will provide support services to customers, based on their support or maintenance agreements, for ShadowProtect Granular Recovery for Exchange 7.0 through December 30, 2016. Following this support period, StorageCraft will offer self-support resources, including Knowledge Base articles and Support Forum, for customers who remain on ShadowProtect Granular Recovery for Exchange 7.0.

StorageCraft no longer provides support services or self-support resources for ShadowProtect Granular Recovery for Exchange versions prior to 7.0.

 

End of Life for Legacy StorageCraft ShadowStream version 5.0.5 and all previous versions

As of November 18, 2015, StorageCraft Technology Corporation has discontinued sales and distribution of Legacy StorageCraft ShadowStream® 5.0.5 and all previous versions. All StorageCraft partners who previously distributed Legacy ShadowStream 5.0.5 or prior versions will now distribute StorageCraft ShadowStream 6.0.12 or newer for all future sales. End of Support for Legacy ShadowStream 5.0.5 and all prior versions

StorageCraft will provide support services to customers, based on their support or maintenance agreements, for Legacy ShadowStream 5.0.5 through November 17, 2016. Following this support period, StorageCraft will offer self-support resources, including Knowledge Base articles and Support Forum, for customers who remain on Legacy ShadowStream 5.0.5.

StorageCraft no longer provides support services or self-support resources for ShadowStream versions prior to 5.0.5.

 

End of Life of StorageCraft ImageManager 4.x and all prior versions

As of September 10, 2013, StorageCraft Technology Corporation has discontinued offering StorageCraft ImageManager 4.x and older. If you are using 4.x or a prior version, you may want to visit our software updates page to download a more recent version.

End of Support for StorageCraft ImageManager 4.x and all prior versions

StorageCraft will provide support services to customers, based on their support or maintenance agreements, for StorageCraft ImageManager 4.x and older through September 30, 2013. Following this support period, StorageCraft will offer self-support resources, including Knowledge Base articles and Support Forum, for customers who remain on StorageCraft ImageManager 4.x, but not for prior versions.

 

End of Life of StorageCraft ShadowProtect 4.x and all prior versions

As of July 16, 2015, StorageCraft Technology Corporation has discontinued sales and distribution of StorageCraft ShadowProtect® 4.x and all prior versions. All StorageCraft partners who previously distributed ShadowProtect 4.x or prior versions will now distribute ShadowProtect 5.x or StorageCraft ShadowProtect SPX for all future sales. StorageCraft will provide support services to customers, based on their support or maintenance agreements, for ShadowProtect 4.x through July 16, 2016. Following this support period, StorageCraft will offer self-support resources, including Knowledge Base articles and Support Forum, for customers who remain on ShadowProtect 4.x.

StorageCraft no longer provides support services or self-support resources for ShadowProtect versions prior to 4.x.

 

End of Life and End of Support for StorageCraft ShadowMode software

Several years ago, StorageCraft informed partners and customers that we would no longer continue to develop the StorageCraft ShadowMode family of security software. There had been no additional development of ShadowMode—including improvements, updates, or bug fixes—since 2006.

For this reason, StorageCraft decided to discontinue sales and support for all ShadowMode products effective December 31, 2010. If you have purchased maintenance for any ShadowMode products, your maintenance agreement will be honored until its expiration, one year from the date of purchase.

Support articles in the StorageCraft Knowledge Base that pertain to ShadowMode products are no longer available. A few Support Forum ShadowMode threads exist.
