When we opened our doors in December 2003, we built our brand on a foundation of industry knowledge, strong leadership, and a background in driver development, storage consultation, and developer toolkits. Today, StorageCraft Technology Corporation is a global company with excellent revenue growth, talented employees, a mature line of award-winning business continuity products, and a worldwide network of successful channel partners and resellers. We operate from our corporate headquarters in Draper, Utah, and international offices in Ireland, Japan, and Australia.
StorageCraft is committed to the channel distribution model because it allows our award-winning backup and disaster recovery software to be integrated into larger solutions, and because it allows our MSP (managed service provider) and VAR (value-added reseller) partners to provide better customer experience for end users. Chairman and CEO
Matt Medeiros was named StorageCraft Chairman and CEO in January 2016, bringing with him a wealth of experience inside the information technology sector. At StorageCraft, Matt is responsible for developing the vision and strategy that guides StorageCraft as the company enhances its brand, strengthens its partnership programs and relationships, and expands its presence throughout the global IT channel. Prior to joining StorageCraft, Matt served as Chief Executive Officer and President of SonicWALL, a position he held from 2003 until it was acquired by Dell in 2012. He then served as General Manager of security software at Dell SonicWALL until 2015. In total, Matt has more than 35 years of PC manufacturing, operations, and materials management experience, which includes a number of senior executive-level positions with Apple Computer, NeXT Computer, and Phillips Electronics. Matt received his bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of San Francisco.
Douglas Brockett has more than 23 years of experience in information technology. Prior to joining Exablox, Douglas was Vice President and General Manager of SonicWALL, where he was responsible for the company’s products, strategy, corporate development, support and cloud operations. He was previously SonicWALL’s VP of Worldwide Marketing where he ran SonicWALL’s channel and corporate marketing activities. Before joining SonicWALL, he was VP of Marketing and Business Development for Nexsi Systems, a groundbreaking data center networking company. He began his career at networking pioneer BBN where he created and ran BBN’s high-end hosting group, and as VP, saw its successful acquisition by GTE (now Verizon). Douglas received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Harvard University.
Vice President of Worldwide Sales
Marvin Blough joined the StorageCraft family in January 2016, bringing with him more than 30 years of experience of successfully leading global direct and channel go-to-market efforts in IT security and software. At StorageCraft, Marvin's focus as Vice President of Worldwide Sales is on expanding the company’s global reach by establishing channel partnerships that enhance the profitability for the channel partner. Marvin is also responsible for working closely with international distributors to introduce the StorageCraft product line into new markets. Prior to joining the StorageCraft family, Marvin served as a Vice President of Worldwide Sales at SonicWALL for nine years, during which his success resulted in eight CRN Channel Chief awards. Marvin received his bachelor’s degree in business from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
Ramesh Iyer Balan
Vice President of Engineering, Exablox
Ramesh Balan has more than 20 years of experience in information technology. Prior to Exablox, Ramesh was Sr. Director at Data Domain (later acquired by EMC). He was responsible for the system software development and led the core deduplication engineering team during his tenure. He scaled the organization, supporting rapid growth from pre IPO to a billion-dollar business, including establishing a China development center. Prior to Data Domain, he was Sr. Director at Veritas Software (later acquired by Symantec). At Veritas he led cross-geo (United States, United Kingdom, and India) file-system development teams for various Veritas Storage Foundation releases and leading emerging product development. Prior to Veritas, Ramesh was at Bell labs in the UNIX System Labs research division. Ramesh received his M.S. in computer science from Columbia University, New York.
Vice President of Engineering, ShadowProtect
Jawaad Tariq, who came to StorageCraft from Fusion-io/SanDisk, oversees operations of the software development and quality assurance teams. His responsibilities also include the creation of new products and features for the entire backup and disaster recovery software suite as well as StorageCraft cloud offerings.
During his five years at Fusion-io, including four-plus years as the Software Engineering Director, Jawaad managed and expanded the company’s software development teams. He also had a 10-year stint at Novell, where he served as Software Engineering Director and created and managed the engineering organization for Data Center Orchestration and Cloud Management. Jawaad received his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Brigham Young University.
Vice President of Marketing and Product Management
Shridar Subramanian has more than 23 years of experience in information technology. Prior to joining Exablox, Shridar was the VP of Marketing at Virident Systems, a leading provider of PCIe SSDs, where he was responsible for product strategy, go-to-market as well as awareness and demand generation. Prior to Virident, he was a Senior Director of Marketing at Monosphere Inc., a storage virtualization software company, where he was responsible for market and product definition for the company. Before joining Monosphere, Shridar held senior marketing positions at NetApp, where he was responsible for defining and driving solutions for major enterprise verticals. His previous experience includes Software Engineer for Intergraph Corporation and Management Consultant at Booz Allen & Hamilton. He received his M.S. in computer science from Penn State University and MBA from the University of Chicago.
Vice President of Sales – Americas
Lee Schor joined the StorageCraft family in January 2016 as Vice President Americas sales. His responsibilities include managing the North American and LATAM channel, expanding channel business across the region, growing existing partner potential, and strategically identifying opportunities for further business development. Over the last 20 years, Lee has been in global and domestic sales and management positions within channel as well as direct sales organizations. He brings a strong history of establishing channel partnerships that focus on partner profitability, which will guide StorageCraft through optimal growth across the Americas. Prior to joining the organization, Lee held leadership roles at Sophos, CheckPoint, and SonicWALL—three distinct channel organizations in the internet security space. Lee holds bachelor's degrees in business administration and marketing from Illinois State University as well as an MBA in finance and an MBA in marketing from DePaul University.
Vice President of Sales - EMEA
Andy Zollo joined the StorageCraft family in July 2016 as Vice President EMEA Sales. His responsibilities include managing the EMEA channel, expanding channel business across the region, growing existing partner potential, and strategically identifying opportunities for further business development. Over the last 25 years, Andy has been in international and domestic sales and management positions within channel as well as direct sales organizations. He brings a strong history of establishing channel partnerships that focus on partner profitability, which will guide StorageCraft through optimal growth across EMEA. Prior to joining the organization, Andy held leadership roles at Gigamon, SonicWALL, and Extreme Networks—three distinct channel organizations in the internet security space. Andy holds a bachelor's degree in systems analysis from University of the West of England.
