Mike Kunz of StorageCraft recognized as 2016 CRN Channel Chief

DRAPER, Utah, -- StorageCraft Technology Corp., a global leader in backup and disaster, announced today that CRN®, a brand of The Channel Company, has named Mike Kunz, senior vice president of operations, to its prestigious list of 2016 Channel Chiefs. The executives on this annual list represent top leaders in the IT channel who excel at driving growth and revenue in their organizations through channel partners.

Channel Chiefs honorees are selected by CRN’s editorial staff on the basis of their professional achievements, standing in the industry, dedication to the channel partner community and strategies for driving future growth and innovation. Each of the 2016 Channel Chiefs has demonstrated loyalty and ongoing support for the IT channel by consistently promoting, defending and executing outstanding channel partner programs.

Kunz, who served as vice president of worldwide sales until he was recently named the company’s senior vice president of operations, is a Channel Chief because he has been instrumental in StorageCraft expanding its global reach by developing channel partnerships that focus on profitability for the partners. In his new role, he is responsible for day-to-day operations throughout the world and overseeing the award-winning StorageCraft support team. This is the eighth consecutive year in which Kunz has been named a Channel Chief. He was also named one of the 50 Most Influential Channel Chiefs for 2016.

"We are honored to present the 2016 lineup of CRN Channel Chiefs, comprised of outstanding executives who move our entire industry forward by cultivating exemplary partner programs and executing cutting-edge business strategy,” said Robert Faletra, CEO, The Channel Company. “They represent an extraordinary group of individuals who lead by example and serve as both invaluable advocates and innovators of the IT channel. We applaud their incredible strides and look forward to following their accomplishments in the coming year.”

StorageCraft Chairman and CEO Matt Medeiros said, “StorageCraft is fully dedicated to our partners as our only go to market process. In Mike’s new role as senior vice president of operations, he will now ensure that we are developing products and processes other than sales to increase the success of our partners. It is no longer good enough to just sell through the channel, we must look at all aspects of our product development, operational processes and delivery strategies in support of our valued partners.”

The 2016 CRN Channel Chiefs list is featured in the February 2016 issue of CRN and online at www.crn.com/channelchiefs.
